Thalia is an international chain of bookstores across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This particular branch, Thalia Bücher Greven in Krefeld, Germany, needed a convenient Click & Collect solution for their customers and contacted RENZ to see what they could offer.
The result was a myRENZbox consisting of 26 individual boxes, ranging in size from XS-M, ensuring that any number of books could be comfortably stored inside.
This Click & Collect system has revolutionised the way customers shop at this Thalia store. Customers simply place their desired item in their online cart, select the ‘store pick-up’ option when checking out, click on the closest branch with a pick-up station, and select the ‘pick up at Thalia pick-up station’ option.
The customer will receive a notification via email when their order is ready, complete with a QR code and pick-up code. Scanning or manually entering their code will open the relevant compartment, and they’ll be able to collect their order.
Not only does this parcel solution create a contactless collection point, it also contributes to lowering carbon emissions as customers can choose to collect rather than have their items delivered.
