These 2hr fire rated parcel boxes are able to contain, or, hold back a fire for 120 mins. Tested by Warrington Fire in accordance with BS EN 1363-1: 2020.
They can be installed wall mounted, wall recessed, through the wall or freestanding.
Fire Rated Parcel Box Models
Comprehensive Fire Rated Testing
The fire rated test involved removing the backs of the parcel boxes to simulate a fire inside and to the rear and to do so they were placed in a furnace which was turned up to 1064 degrees C. The test was concluded at 132 minutes, and our myRENZbox parcel boxes showed no signs of weakness or deterioration. They passed the test and are now fire rated for two hours, complying to the new BS EN 1363-1:2012 standard.

Working with Warrington Fire
The Safety Letterbox Company R&D team worked with Warringtonfire to become the first company to achieve full 2 hour Fire Rating (integrity only) tested to BS EN 1363-1:2020. This allows both parcelboxes and mailboxes to be safely housed within a fire rated area, wall or escape route when installed in accordance with guidelines*.

These 2 hour Fire Rated Parcel boxes include several specially developed features to satisfy Fire Rating standards BS EN 1363-1: 2020.
This ensures the product is suitable for surface mounting, recessing or freestanding, if fitted in accordance with guidelines and located within a fire rated area.
First 120 Minute Fire Rated Parcel Boxes
myRENZbox have been fully tested in extreme conditions at Warrington Fire Research Labratory. The parcel boxes were:
- Tested for a total of 132 minutes
- BS EN 1363-1: 2020 compliant
- Class 0 fire rated compliant
- Able to contain or hold back a fire for two hours
Research and Development
Our Research and Development team worked with Exova Warrington to become the first company to achieve full Fire Rating (two hour integrity only) to BS EN 1361-1 : 2020 on this specifically created group of parcel boxes.
We continue to push the boundaries and be at the forefront of Fire Rated product advances, we are currently investing in further testing and R&D to enable us to expand the range in this area.
What is myRENZbox Modula?
Part of the Classic range, MODULA is a fully scalable intelligent parcel box system with proven functionality that is competitively priced. The combination of hardware and unique RENZ software platform enables full automation of the parcel delivery, collection and returns process.
At the ‘heart’ of this scalable system is a choice of two standalone control modules with the option of a further nine parcel extension modules. The system can be extended to manage up to 500 box compartments with electronic locks operated from a single controller.
Extension modules are simply added to the control module to match the exact project requirements. We provide guidance to help configure the specific number and size distribution of parcel boxes required for each project.
Integration with Existing Systems
In addition to the standard processes we can also provide expert technical support to integrate with building management software, electronic door entry systems and to comply with existing organisational protocols.
The MODULA Parcel box system is connected to an online software portal at www.myrenz.com. The system portal enables remote management by the system owner. Registered users can also login to a user portal to manage their individual accounts.
